oh Christmas tree...

Yesterday I went on a mission to find us a Christmas tree. I only wanted a baby tree so I was confident that this was a one man mission. When I got to the tree stall I was excited to see all of the beautiful trees all lined up ready to find a home and give their owner some good old Christmas cheer. I soon realised they didn't have any baby trees, but that didn't matter I had found my tree. Standing up straight, one back from the entrance there he was...nice symmetrical shape, good branch distribution, deep green colour. He is more on the toddler size, but after a test lift I convinced myself that being the strong kiwi girl I am the 1.5 km walk home was really not that far.

It was far alright...by the time I reached home my arms wanted to fall off and wouldn't stop shaking for a good 3 hours after. What a work out...but oh the satisfaction! Our beautiful tree is now oozing Christmasness in our living room. The very merry kiwi and sheep taking pride of place at the top of course...thanks mum!
